The Brazilian Return:
Samba, Speed, and Senna

After 22 years away, MotoGP returned to Brazil in spectacular fashion. The Autódromo Ayrton Senna provided a tight, technical challenge for the 2026 grid.
From sinkhole delays in the Sprint to Marco Bezzecchi’s tactical masterclass on Sunday, the Brazilian GP proved that South American passion for racing is stronger than ever.

Weekend Highlights

🏆

Bezzecchi’s Dominance

Marco Bezzecchi secured his fourth consecutive win, proving his Aprilia is the bike to beat. He managed a 3.2s gap over teammate Jorge Martin.

Marquez Sprint Glory

Marc Márquez claimed his first victory of 2026 in a chaotic Saturday Sprint, snatching the lead from Fabio Di Giannantonio in the final laps.

The Sinkhole Drama

A bizarre track defect (sinkhole) delayed the Sprint by 80 minutes, forcing crews into emergency repairs before the lights could go out.

Tactical Battle: Aprilia vs. Ducati

The Goiânia circuit, a short 3.8km layout with 15 corners, favored the mechanical grip of the Aprilia Racing Team. While Ducati’s Marc Márquez showed flashes of his vintage self in the Sprint, the main race belonged to the “Noale Factory.”

Jorge Martin’s double overtake on Márquez and Di Giannantonio was the move of the day, securing an Aprilia 1-2. Meanwhile, KTM’s Pedro Acosta fought through the mid-pack to finish P7, maintaining his status as a championship dark horse.

Rider Reaction:
